Not sure if it's possible at all, but could the journal system information be expanded in some way so that more information is actually shown for quests, especially misc. ones? I hate booting up the game and not remembering what the heck a quest was for since the game throws so many at you, and I'm truly missing Morrowind/Oblivion's journal system. :(
That stuff would be part of the quest so every quest would need to be edited to do that, making one massively incompatible mod.
I agree with you for the need for such a mod though, Skyrims journal is too stripped down for my liking.
I had a feeling it would probably be too complicated. Was just a thought, since it's rather frustrating. :( Or maybe just the ability to set 'notes' for particularly obtuse and detail-lacking quests for a reminder. :\
I agree with this that it is very annoying, something else that would be cool is to be able to make your own notes in a font that makes it look like hand writing...

This would be helpful. I think Neverwinter Nights had the feature and it could be handy. Especially with some mods that gave limited detail.
I must say its partially why I started a new game and haven't gone back to Skyrim for a couple of days. If you look at the amount of hours I've played on steam its not very much tbh :(...
Although I wish you could say no to quests, but sort of have options like Yes, Maybe Later and No... If you say no that quest will not be asked again, or possibly for a certain amount of days
Exactly :( The game like, bombards you with more quests than you could shake a stick at.
