Call to Arms: Skyrim Commander
CTA (Call to Arms) is a modification that allows you (the player) to summon indefinite squads of men to aid you in battle and hopefully give you more of a commander feel. I have been home for a week, so I am unable to balance it properly right now - Be aware that there is potential for this being unbalanced, but if you're restrained, it won't happen.
To begin using the mod, find your way to Castle Dour. In one of the side rooms to the main chamber, there are three books (currently). These books will each teach you a spell that you can use to summon your forces.
These soldiers will act as soldiers do - they will follow and defend you. As of this release, there are only three different squads. Here are the breakdown of the squads right now.
Squad 1 (Archers): Four Twentieth Rgt. Archers
Squad 2 (Swordsmen): Four Twentieth Rgt. Swordsmen
Squad 3 (Light Inf. Squad): Three Swordsmen, Two Archers.
And that's it.
This should work fine with any mods. If you're having issues, let me know on here or just message me.
Current issues that I am aware of and will fix once I get back from work (early august):
- No follower dialogue.
- Cannot dismiss squads (But they do die.)
- Soldiers don't crouch when you do.
Things I plan to implement in future updates:
- Sneaking along with player.
- Hold fire/position ability.
- New Squads.
- Twentieth Regiment. Outpost.
More scripted system to access squads.
- Dismissal of squads.
- Pre-requisites for using the squads.
Money cost associated with using squads.
If you have any suggestions feel free to let me know! I would love to hear them. :)
I will not be able to update/work on this mod till early august, and the next update will likely include Dawnguard stuff.
Simply extract the contents of the .rar to your data folder and activate the ESP.
