    IMO - http://bancomicsans.com/!

Heh, not really. I've just always thought that people who want to get a font banned are funny.

    Arial Narrow or bust.

I picked Georgia (Scotch Roman) because it's my favorite of the listed ones.

Arial (Neue Haas Grotesk / Helvetica), Comic Sans, Verdana, Trebuchet MS are all sans-serif fonts which I find a pain to read in sentances. It may be easier to read letters in san-serif fonts, but I find my eyes do not get as tired when reading large blocks of text with serifs. I find Trebuchet and Verdana particularly painful. I actually do like Helvetica in certain usages such as short blocks of text and when coding. I realize that sans-serif typefaces are the "in" style right now, but hopefully that's a passing phase like so many other fashion mistakes. Again with when someone is focused at the letters it's easy to see how the preference for sans-serifs developed but it is missing the wider picture.

Arial Black / Impact - Heavier weight type should only be used for emphasis not normal body text. Arial Black is really just the black weight of Arial.

Times New Roman - A pretty good font, but smaller x-height compare to Georgia, which gives Georgia a legibility advantage at smaller text sizes.

Consolas! Only one fixed-width font in the list and it's Courier New?

Found a new favorite recently (Thanks Nandini!) - Linux Libertine. Reworked my UI to use that family and I am loving it.

Had Calibri been listed, that would have been my choice.

Doing the CSS revamp for SkyrimForge and I just want people's advice on what fonts they like to see.

I stuck to the web-safe fonts, but could theoretically abuse CSS3 (not supported by all browsers, but I don't care much for IE users) with http://www.w3.org/TR/css3-webfonts/

@Dashkal: This is more for web-based fonts rather than coding fonts. For coding, I use ProFont X, which looks great on Mac OS X. On Windows, I use Consolas.

Joking aside, I'm a fan of DejaVu Sans Mono for coding. Inconsolata is good too, but never seems to show up well on windows.
