That topic reminds me a bit of music industry vs. mp3. There clearly is a demand. Why can't any of the involved parties work together in a constructive manner?
WowMatrix has risen again... just updated a Curse-based Addon with it :)
Until there is a cross platform and cross site updater, you're going to just have another WoWMatrix come along.
Work together and get something that everyone on every platform can use for the main sites.

I could care less.
I do enjoy seeing all the people whining about it though.
@The moron below me:
If you are seriously updating more than one or two addons a week you don't deserve to use addons in the first place. Just because an addon makes an update, say putting another language file in, doesn't mean you need to update it.
ON PATCH DAY I would RATHER get that 1 extra useless language file while updating all the other addons by one click THAN looking through all 235 of my addons one by one to make sure 1 or 2 of them don't have an extra language file attached to them.
WOOOO WUUUUUU chuugga chugga no more mad dev's '/YAAAAAAAY
this sucks i like wowmatrix
"WowMatrix is now dead, what do you do?"
i /slap and /spit those who destroyed it.
Hmmm, go to manual checks and updates until wowmatrix can devise a solution or something equally as good comes along and avoid curse whenever possible. I also make sure my Firefox has the current adblock addon installed. I have seen two explanations of how adblock works. One is that the page is still summoned ads and all but you never see the ads. The other is that the ads are blocked before being retrieved. Either way ads on curse will never dirty my browser. I wonder if that means curse is stealing ad revenue from hits that are not viewing any ads?
I will not submit to extortion from curse (aptly named) even if they believe they have a just cause. Inflicting unnecessary pain on the WoW user community is no way to make friends and (favorably) influence people.
