    This is the code that I am using right now and it has been working flawlessly so far.

    1. Entering an instance for 5 minutes and then zoning out. Reset the timer, doesn't record the time and hide the stopwatch.
    2. Entering an instance dying and walking back in. Doesn't reset the timer, doesn't record the time and doesn't hide the stopwatch.
    3. Entering and instance and completing it. Does reset the timer, record the time and hide the stopwatch.

    Note: same applies for Warlord instance that zone you back into Garrison which is a zone of instance Type Party.

    1. Entering an instance in a group for 5 minutes and then zoning out. Reset the timer, doesn't record the time and hide the stopwatch.
    2. Entering an instance in a group dying and walking back in. Doesn't reset the timer, doesn't record the time and doesn't hide the stopwatch.
    3. Entering and instance in a group and completing it. Does reset the timer, record the time and hide the stopwatch.

    I am not sure if I forgot any test case but that seem to be working. I did try with the double brack for SELECT(8, ...) and it does work but since I use the mapID to both check if I should start or hide the timer I kept the local variable and use that variable in both test.

    Well I have to go soon so I don't have time to play with it more but I will come back with better result within 24 hours and give you a better report after testing it for a lil while. Damn WoD Dungeon even if done fast take about 30 min Lolll

    Thanks for testing it more, I will fix it then with a separate variable, or by adding an extra pair of braces.

    • Hey, you found another bug :) When zoning from an instance, into a garrison it should stop yes, but the bug prevents it. The timer should still have already paused if you properly completed the instance though.

      That part on line 150 was meant to detect if a player just logged in and is not in a group, so there was no way he could be doing an instance. That extra logic you added should fix that bug.
    • If you come out an instance while in a premade group, it indeed won't be hidden. Yet another bug! (But the timer should have at least paused if you completed the instance.)

      Actually, everywhere it checks for S.instance == "none" it is a bug and it should be fixed for garrisons..

    This is really confusing me though, and I haven't read my code in ages.
    I'm going to sleep now, it's 4 AM here and I have finals this week (T_T)

    I did test a bit with a separate variable and so far it work the only thing that might arise and I am not a 100% sure if it's necessary.

    In your PLAYER_ENTERING_WORLD event you have the scenario where the player enter a Group map that isn't a garrison or he enter a zone that is group "none" and isn't in group.

    I had a small issue with the addon not stopping it self when I zoned inside a wod dungeon and when I zoned out it put me back in my garrison thus never firing the event to stop the timer and reset the time.

    I also added a second logic to line 150

    elseif ( S.instance == "none" and not IsInGroup() ) or ( S.pve[S.instance] and S.garrison[mapID] )

    so I made sure I either zone into a no group type map or that I am zoning in my garrison then fire ResetTime(true) and S.StopwatchEnd()

    I am curious does IsInGroup could conflict with being in a group as you queue. Queue with one or 2 friend and coming out not reseting the Timer.

    (I re-opened the ticket because someone else told me it still wasn't fixed)
    I was thinking that GetInstanceInfo() is maybe being called too early (on PLAYER_ENTERING_WORLD)

    I'm pretty sure that only the first return value of select() is used when dropped in a table lookup, so there shouldn't be any difference. Otherwise just adding another pair of braces (select(8, GetInstanceInfo())) is another solution.

    But if it works, then please test a little bit more and I'll update the addon. Sorry that I can't test it myself >.<

    Sorry it took a really long time to get back to you. I got a bit busy with a few other thing.

    I think the issue with the addon and garrison in the latest version is this line in core.lua

    if S.pve[S.instance] and not S.garrison[select(8, GetInstanceInfo())] then

    it seem like select(8, GetInstanceInfo()) doesn't just return the id of the instance.

    When I do a /run print of it give me in my garrison 1153 5

    Which I assume is the id of the map and the max number of player for the map and this is probably not found in your Table of Garrison.

    I have solved the issue by doing a

    local mapID = select(8, GetInstanceInfo())

    and using that value in the If then statement. I still have to test a little bit more but that does seem to work.

    I might need to check and revert to the previous version cause now it seem like the addon doesn't work at all. It's not even recording instance or showing the time inside when you zone in and out after killing a boss.

    Exactly that should have been fixed, when you log into you garrison. It should now check the garrison map ids before it starts the timer, but apparently my fix didn't work ...

    I don't think I can fix this, since I don't have any access to the garrison, or WoW for that matter. Sorry >.<
