==Chris2012s HQTP Whiterun WIP This is a high-quality texturing mod (currently for Whiterun). As you can see in the comparison pictures, i try to keep the same feel to the textures while having actual quality instead of bluriness. Some are actually redrawn at 4 times the resolution of the original file. Currently changed 77 of the most encountered textures, it's a work in progress. Textures are currently 2048x2048 and 1024x2048. Here's an article about the mod: http://www.curse.com/news/skyrim/43020-skyrim-first-week-modding-highlights ====Installation 1) Extract files 2) Copy Textures folder to Skyrim/Data folder 3) Play ====Uninstallation 1) Go to your Skyrim/Data folder 2) Delete the Textures folder (not the big file, just making sure !) ====Credits and distribution permission Considering some people seem to be confused about clicking the permissions button to check what they're allowed to do with these files and also the fact that it might get uploaded to other sites, i'll specify it here just to be clear. By downloading this mod you agree to the following *You can upload this file to other sites but you must credit me as the creator of the file *You are not allowed to convert this file to work on other games under any circumstances *You must get permission from me before you are allowed to modify my files to improve it *You must get permission from me before you are allowed to use any of the assets in this file ====Changelog Version 0.61 *Added antlers / noble wooden table textures Version 0.6 *Some house wood textures remade *Some interior castle wood remade + the castle walls inside *Some of the "boat-like" structure wood remade *Better city wall / city wall plaster blending Version 0.52 *Fixed an issue with the city wall texture normal map when a top light (sun) was present Version 0.51 *Updated 9 normal/specular maps to create more varied/rough bumpiness *Updated 2 older textures Version 0.5 *More reworked textures *Better blending between the ground texture/the stone walls *New ground texture with more detail and better coloring / moss coloring *Better bumpiness on some of the older wood textures Version 0.41 *Changed most of the textures to contain more micro and macro detail Version 0.4 *Added 11 carpet textures *Changed a couple of old textures *Added a few textures Version 0.31 *Added few textures Version 0.3 *Added few more textures *Changed the normal / alpha maps to increase specularity / bumpiness on some textures *All textures are now max 2048x2048 Version 0.2 *Fixed transparent wall texture *Fixed a couple of patches of dirt to blend better *Changed the coloring a bit on a few textures to match the original better *Added a few more textures ====Disclaimer Use it on your own risk! I cannot be held accountable for any loss or damage you manage to cause by using this mod. That being said, it's a simple texture mod though, so there shouldn't be any issues. ====Important in case of purple textures Kenosos says he found a fix for the purple textures and crash on fast travel (apparently you need to have at least 8gb ram for this to work + another user confirmed it to be working). For those of you who encounter the bug feel free to do this, i however haven't which is rather weird considering my system is mid-range and i also played the game with photoshop running in the background eating up like 500 of my 1gb vram + other resources. Kenosos said: [i]So I fixed the purple texture problem for myself. I did this, http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=134. I imagine this will only help if you have 64bit with more than 4GB of RAM though. ====Credits Bethesda for making Skyrim. ====Author Chris2012 on Skyrimnexus, deckardcain85 on skyrimforge/curse.
