{{http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu212/megartana/Banner.jpg}} {{http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu212/megartana/Updates.jpg}} Contrary to what is portrayed in the trailer, killing a dragon is pretty anti-climactic. Aside from the "Mimi Page Dovahkiin Victory Sound" (which is amazing btw), there are no other mods that attempt to remedy this. This mod uses sound edits to make the process of dragon soul absorbing more epic. There are **four** versions to choose from. Pick **four** to install. There is also **one** optional script to download, which adds animations to the event. Use your own discretion - this may cause glitches, crashes, and/or bugs. Please report them. *Note - additional versions are available on Skyrim Nexus: [[URL|http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13850]] --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- {{http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu212/megartana/Updates2.jpg}} <<color cyan>>July 3rd<</color>> - Uploaded to CurseForge. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- {{http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu212/megartana/Music.jpg}} <<color violet>>1. VICTORY CRY VERSION<</color>> <<color aqua>>2. TRAILER VERSION<</color>> <<color lime>>3. ORCHESTRAL V1<</color>> <<color orange>>4. ORCHESTRAL V2<</color>> More detailed descriptions below with video examples: <<color violet>>1. VICTORY CRY VERSION<</color>> *Inspired by demo video #3 with Todd Howard. * The wind sound is untouched for maximum compatibility with Greybeard Quest. * The dragon heart beat sound includes **rhythmic chanting from word walls**, **barbarian choir**, and **dovahkiin scream** (male). * The normal barbarian choir word of power sounds are totally replaced by the **Skyrim theme**. * This applies to word walls as well (not tested). Preview shown here: <<youtube mSXNWHAJLzo>> In game demonstration (with animation script): <<youtube 3Y2ODtf_gdE>> <<color aqua>>2. TRAILER VERSION<</color>> * Inspired bypre-release trailer. * The wind sound is edited to include **female vocals**. * The normal barbarian choir word of power sounds are totally replaced by the **victory melody**. * This applies to word walls as well (not tested). <<youtube TAt5BjZl1-4>> <<color lime>>3. ORCHESTRAL VERSION 1<</color>> * The wind sound is edited to include the **Skyrim theme**. * This is followed by the normal barbarian choir/word of power sounds. * After this subsides, * female vocals and the **victory melody** take over (continuation of the wind sound). * Ends in drum beats. <<youtube 0I-j4XWq5W0>> <<color orange>>4. ORCHESTRAL VERSION 2<</color>> * The wind sound is edited to include a **tense musical phrase** sung by the choir. * This is followed by the normal barbarian choir/word of power sounds. * After this subsides, **female vocals** and the **victory melody** take over (continuation of the wind sound). * Ends in drum beats, just like orchestral version 1. <<youtube 5ymqnVycPLg>> --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- May conflict with any other mod that alters <<color cyan>>MQKillDragonScript<</color>>. 1. RITUAL ANIMATION SCRIPT * <<color cyan>>MQKillDragonScript<</color>> is edited to have the player automatically perform the master destruction spell (ritual spell) animation. * The player will not have control during the animation, but will be invulnerable to damage. * The wind sound and explosion sound source are changed from the dragon to the player so that turning or moving will not distort the sounds. * Made specifically for <<color violet>>victory cry version<</color>>], but compatible with all versions. {{http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu212/megartana/Ritualanimation.jpg}} --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- {{http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu212/megartana/Installation.jpg}} * Manual - extract using Winzip or WinRar and copy/paste the data folder to your Skyrim directory. * The sound, music, and script folders may prompt you to overwrite files already there. Click Yes. * Play testing - easiest way is to spawn a dragon using the console: Push ~ (tilde key), then type player.placeatme EAFB4 1 {{http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu212/megartana/Uninstallation.jpg}} - Manual - delete the sound files in <<color cyan>>data/sound/fx/npc/dragon/deathsequence<</color>> and the three files in <<color cyan>>]data/music/special that end in wordofpower_01, wordofpower_02, and wordofpower_03<</color>>. * Also delete the file in data/scripts entitled <<color cyan>>MQKillDragonScript.pex<</color>>, if you installed that. {{http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu212/megartana/FuturePlans.jpg}} - Making a female version of victory cry. So far this has been in vain - a simple pitch shift does not sound convincing.. - Scripting different animations to fit different versions. A kneeling animation, for example, might suit the trailer version. - Fixing the dragon ragdoll. Why doesn't it kick up dirt and shake the ground when it falls down dead? It makes no sense. {{http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu212/megartana/Credits.jpg}} * BsA Unpacker. * Audacity (sound editing software). * gloomfrost for the original idea. * kevkas for contributing alternate version (available on Nexus). * Skyrim Nexus * Skyrim Forge * Bethesda, for making an amazing, enthralling game worthy of epic mods. Lastly, if you like the mod, please **endorse**! Enjoy!
