Fixes missing armor materials by adding two perks: Basic Smithing and Silver Smithing. Gives you freedom of choice past Advanced Smithing (same old advanced armor, only renamed and relocated): You can choose any of the materials without PERK requirements. Smithing level requirements still apply; in other words, once you hit Advanced Smithing, you can wait until 100 and pick only Dragon Smithing if you choose so.

Daedric Smithing stems out of Arcane Smithing, since it's not a material, but a smithing technique. The other perks have been renamed to reflect their materials, but they're the same. All on a perk tree that actually looks like a freaking anvil :P

If you're updating, you will need to uninstall, save and install again. Just to be safe.

if you wanna test the recipes or just cheat, type "coc lorecrafttest" to teleport the testing hall. Look for the All Recipes container next to the anvil. Apologies for the stink. My QA smith works there. P**

Remember, you still need the Ebony Smithing perk and a recipe for bows to make an Ebony Bow. Also, if you know how to craft an Ebony Bow and have the Daedric Smithing perk, you also know how to make a Daedric Bow, which is nothing than an enhanced Ebony Bow (or defiled, however you look at it).

All purely leather/fur armors are crafted at the tanning rack instead of the forge.

Known issues:
-

- Many book pages are still placeholders. They will be reskinned as the mod goes. It's a laborious task.
- Some book prices are way off. Fixing asap.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

- Wipes your crafting list clean of crafting items supported by this mod.
- Adds buyable/lootable books to learn how to craft them.
- Once the book is read, you can click on it to toggle the listing of the item on your smithing list.
- Your smithing perks will be untouched. But to craft, say an ebony bow, you now need the ebony perk plus the recipe for the bow.

HOW THE BOOKS WORK:

Once read and learned, they won't open normally anymore. When you
activate them, they will toggle the book's recipes on/off at the forge. When you want to read/pick them up, just press and hold your activation key and it opens. You still can read them normally from your inventory as well.

So, you can go to a smith, buy a book of vanilla glass smithing, read, learn how to make glass stuff. When you're done crafting vanilla glass stuff, you click your book on your bookshelf to toggle those recipes off from your crafting list. When you want to craft them again, just toggle them on. As more modders use this for their craftables, the better it gets.

WHY USE A SYSTEM LIKE THIS?

- Unclutters crafting lists
- Gives you choice in what you want to craft and what you don't
- Makes items easy to find on the list
- Increases immersion/ fun/ speed in finding stuff
- Adds a bit of rewarding challenge in acquiring your craftable stuff

WANT TO PORT CRAFTABLES TO THIS SYSTEM?

Ok, I really need a hand with this mod. Modding big projects alone is the quickest way to a life without sex and social interaction. XD

So anyone interested in making their own craftables learnable, manageable and lootable/buyable, can do so by linking their mods to this one, using the mod's esm.

The esm contains all you need to make you craftables lootable, buyable, learnable and manageable. If your recipes are already created, showing on crafting lists and ready on your mod, all it takes is 5 to 20 mins to get it done, since I've already done the hard work and all it takes are simple steps, if you know your way around the CK. You don't even need to set custom itemlists if you don't want to; you can just dump your book(s) into the mod's lists and it will deliver them to mobs and vendors as you choose.

After the craftable item pack is ready, it will be dependent on this esm, but you can upload your own page, of course, if you wish.

So, if you are interested in creating an item pack for Lorecraft or a craftable gear mod of your with a Lorecraft version, let me know!

[coloryellow] If you like this mod and the idea behind it, ENDORSE IT, so a lot o fpeople are aware of it and decide to use it to 'publish' their weapons, armor and jewelry and help convert previous releases! (with proper authorization, of course) [/color]
