   The Heel of Nightmares is an ancient sword of lore commonly spoken about on the northern shores of Skyrim. It is whispered that roughly 150 years ago a stalwart crew of brigands sailed out of Dawnstar in search of the Heel of Nightmares, Captained by Hirad Crest-Cleave, after acquiring a long lost map detailing its whereabouts. However after the crew had set out, they were never heard from again. The player goes on a search for the sword, while trying to simultaneously figure out what happened to the crew.
